Bronberg at a glance

One of the iconic ridges of Pretoria East and a continuation of the Magaliesberg mountain range, the Bronberg ridge snakes its way through the suburban area of Faerie Glen and all the way through to Zwavelpoort. Further on it blends into the beautiful and fairly undeveloped landscapes of the extended east with numerous new developments that have taken place in, and around, what used to be predominantly small-holdings and natural areas.  These include suburbs such as Equestria and Silverlakes along its northern slope and Olympus, many developments in Zwavelpoort and, in between, the most recent smaller Bronberg development along its southern foot hills.

Perfectly tucked between Olympus and the slope of the ridge, Bronberg has managed to retain the beauty of its natural area and one will notice that developments were designed to integrate these surrounds.  Housing options include higher-end modern styled estates, some with large homes and smaller stands as well as the option for small-holding type developments.  These larger lifestyle estates create a secure environment especially well-suited to families and older persons perhaps considering retirement.  If one is considering to scale down, or for first-time home owners and couples the choice exists for smaller, medium and large townhouse complexes, duets and simplexes.

CLIMATE:

Pretoria East shares the subtropical climate which spreads itself throughout most of Tshwane.  This means warm to hot days and summer rainfalls during the months of September through to April.  Winter comes with fairly cold mornings which most of the time turns into warm afternoons and cooler evenings again. The Bronberg ridge offers a measure of protection against wind and frost and because of the elevation enjoys great water movement during rainy seasons as well as a full day's uninterrupted sun.

MAIN ACCESS ROUTES:

Bronberg is bordered by Atterbury Road to the south and Solomon Mahlangu Drive to the west and then just a short drive to access Lynnwood Road.  Once on Solomon Maghlangu the N1 and N4 highways are just a few minutes' drive away while the Pretoria CBD is accessible via both Atterbury or Lynnwood Roads.
