Equestria at a glance

Equestria, a recent development in Pretoria East, has become a showcase for a fairly sought-after modern day lifestyle. Cradled by the Lynnwood ridge to the south and an extension of the Magaliesberg mountain range further out to the north, what used to be plots of land and an equestrian haven now offers an array of beautifully styled townhouses, simplexes and complexes with the odd established plot still nestled in between. CLIMATE:

Equestria enjoys a subtropical climate with hot summer days, warm evenings and summer rains. Winters are shorter and dry, generally comfortable but with a few scattered and intensely cold snaps in between. Being relatively flat and open, Equestria sometimes receives frost on really cold mornings. The subtropical climate allows for the fairly quick and easy growth of plants and trees - a gardener's dream.

MAIN ACCESS ROUTES:

Equestria is quite literally surrounded by some of Pretoria East's major access roads and highways. Driving out of the suburb to the east is Soloman Mahlangu road with Simon Vermoten road to the west (both of which lead to the N4 highway). To the south is Lynnwood road which leads toward the N1 highway.

• Via the N4: 20 minutes / 17 kms
• Via the N4 and M7: 24 minutes / 21 kms
• Via the Ben Schoeman freeway / N1: 25 minutes / 31 kms
