Montana Park at a glance

Montana Park, one of the newer suburbs of Pretoria North, has become a much sought-after residential suburb in very recent times.  Lying at the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountain range, its major attractions are its peaceful character, modern appearance, manicured gardens and its strategically well-placed location to most amenities, access routes as well as the Pretoria city centre.

Montana Park has sprouted as a lively neighbourhood comprising mostly younger to middle-aged people, first time home-owners and families with children, who seek convenience, security and - seemingly - a sense of modern flair in their day-to-day activities.  Catering for a range of lifestyles, Montana Park is also an attractive option for the less traditional, older crowd, including persons considering retirement.  Upmarket clusters, complex apartments, country estates and free-standing properties, some still sporting fairly large stands, make for secure lifestyle living.  Montana Park caters well for both the middle-income earner and more affluent home-owner.

Montana Park has the well-established suburbs of Montana, Sinoville and Magalieskruin as its neighbours with easy access to all and any amenities that are on offer throughout.  In addition, it is strategically positioned and accessible from all directions with the N1 and N4 highways within easy to reach distance.

Almost in its own world, there really is nothing left to wish for on this side of the Magaliesberg!

CLIMATE:

With the Magaliesberg Mountain range on its doorstep, Montana Park enjoys some of the warmer temperatures within Tshwane.  Nestled behind this mountain, it receives a fair amount of protection and is also one of the few areas in Pretoria which enjoys a more tropical-like climate, giving rise to its beautiful gardens, natural greenery and tree-lined streets.  Summer days can be particularly hot but afternoon showers are the norm and evenings are more comfortable.  Winter mornings can be cold bringing with it the possibility of frost on the odd occasion.  But as is typical in Tshwane, winter days become warmer toward the late morning and afternoons.  Further north from the greater Pretoria North, the subtropical vegetation eases into lowveld even bushveld vegetation, so slightly warmer on the northern side of the Magaliesberg Mountain range.

DISTANCE FROM MONTANA PARK TO THE PRETORIA CBD:

  • Via N1 & N4: 24 minutes / 17.5 kms
  • Via Soutpansberg: 28 minutes / 17.5 kms
  • Distances are approximate and drive times indicated during normal traffic.

MAJOR ACCESS ROUTES:

Montana Park is bordered by the N1 to the east, with direct access to and from the highway via the N1 Zambezi Toll Plaza.  Once on the N1, access to the N4 highway is also only a few minutes away.  The main thoroughfare for Montana Park is Sefako Makgatlo Drive, which is also one of the main roads in this greater area providing easy access to the most sought-after amenities available throughout its neighbouring suburbs.
