Mooikloof Equestrian Estate, the largest and higher-end flagship development for example, was developed in the late 1990s, set on prime, undulating landscape, where truly luxurious homes have been interwoven with the natural surrounds and resources.  For its residents, the estate offers tennis courts, a chapel, a stable yard including a 20km bridle path, safe and quiet roads for runners, cyclists, walkers and families with young children and pets, a dam and picnic area as well as a shopping centre and petrol station at the Garsfontein entrance.  To some extent or another the surrounding estates have followed a similar lifestyle design for its residents.

CLIMATE:

Mooikloof is a little more exposed to the elements compared to those areas along the foothills of the Bronberg ridge however the temperate subtropical climate which spreads itself throughout most of Tshwane generally allows for fairly comfortable temperatures throughout the year with little effect through exposure to the elements such as wind, rain or frost.  Due to its undulating landscape and areas of natural growth, parts of Mooikloof may experience slightly varying temperatures and climates.

Summer brings warm to hot days together with summer rainfalls during the months of September through to April.  Winter can allow for fairly cold mornings which most of the time turns into warm afternoons and cooler evenings again. 

MAIN ACCESS ROUTES:

Mooikloof, located further east, is bordered by Atterbury Road to the north, Garsfontein Drive to the south and then travelling west the first major throughfare is Solomon Mahlangu Drive.  All of these roads lead to the N1 highway within only a few minutes' drive time away and Solomon Maghlangu Drive also leads to the N4 highway.  The Pretoria CBD is accessible via both Atterbury Road or Garsfontein Drive, or by way of the N4 highway.
